Our Story

We’re glad you found us and we’d love to meet you! Whether you are looking for a tummy time class for your baby or a tumbling class for your teen, GTC is the place for you! Established in 1976, we are  proud to be members of USA Gymnastics and of our 37 year history.

Our non-competitive classes guarantee that your child will develop confidence and a love for a healthy lifestyle through gymnastics and movement…and at his / her own pace!

If however, it’s competition that your child is looking for, we are proud to offer competitive gymnastics for both boys and girls where the emphasis is on achieving your personal best, on the floor, the bars, in competition and in life!

It’s a family affair here at GTC…and we’d like to welcome you to our family!

Owners, Nancy and Chuck Ford, have been involved in the sport of gymnastics for over forty years as competitors, coaches, officials and USA Gymnastics lecturers. They know the sport …and they know kids too! For 10 years, daughter, Marissa Ford Pratt, served as  Head Coach for The Gymnastics Training Center’s Girls Competitive Teams.  Late in 2013, she accepted the position of Educational Director at the Ford’s other business, The Goddard School, for Early Childhood Development.

Instructors at GTC are part of the family! We are very proud to boast that many of our instructors have been with us for as many as 28 years, some were former GTC students who have returned to teaching gymnastics after completing college and having families of their own! We think that you’ll agree, GTC instructors really shine! They all come from various walks of life, many with teaching degrees. For your child’s safety, we are all certified in First Aid, CPR and are members of USA Gymnastics. The common thread that is evident in all of our teachers, is our love for children and for the sport of gymnastics. We hope that our students will remember the life long lessons learned at GTC long after they have performed their last cartwheel!

Again, welcome to GTC where we CARE about kids!
